Massage Therapists Wanted

Located in Merivale Christchurch, Elemental Therapies is focused on a holistic approach to healthcare. We are growing steadily and are looking for talented massage therapists to join us.

The successful applicant will have
 

• a Massage Therapy qualification with the minimum of diploma level

• sound knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology especially the Musculoskeletal system

• great interpersonal skills

• the ability to work in a team in a clinical environment

• a desire to extend his/her treatment skills

Job Tasks:

• Confer with clients about their medical conditions to determine how massage will be most helpful.

• Assess clients’ soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.

• Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.

• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.

• Refer clients to other types of therapists when necessary.

• Maintain treatment records
