Why choose an MNZ Registered Massage Therapist?
Massage New Zealand members follow the MNZ Code of Ethics, as well as adhering to the Health and Disability Commissioner’s Code of Rights. This means MNZ members adhere to high ethical standards regarding their interactions with clients.
MNZ members have completed NZQA approved courses in massage therapy relevant to their registration level. And you can be sure that your massage therapist has achieved industry approved qualification(s) and competence.
MNZ members are required to engage in 20 hours of continued professional development per year. This may be hands-on or theoretical training in any discipline relevant to a therapist’s practice.
Massage therapy as a health care approach sits within the wellness model and aims to support clients in balancing mental, emotional, and physical needs. Massage types include Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Lomi Lomi Massage, and Aromatherapy Massage.
Reflexology is not a just basic foot massage. It is a specific pressure technique which works on precise reflex points on the feet, based on the fact that reflex areas on the feet correspond with organs, glands and all body parts.
Elemental Therapies is focused on a holistic approach to healthcare. We try to address people’s body pains or discomforts through three main ways — massage therapy, acupuncture, and reflexology.
